THE EPILEPSY ASSOCIATION OF CENTRAL FLORIDA…
…is dedicated to improving the quality of life for persons with epilepsy and providing education for the prevention of and in reducing the incidence of onset.
Established in 1962, The Epilepsy Association of Central Florida (EACF) is a not-for-profit community based organization dedicated to serving the needs of those affected by epilepsy. EACF is a local direct service agency where 100% of the gifts we receive stay to serve the citizens of Central Florida. We are governed by a local elected volunteer Board of Directors that represent a cross section of professionals, civic leaders, and consumers that are responsible for directing the activities of our agency. EACF is further strengthened by a volunteer Professional Advisory Board made up of local area medical professionals and a dedicated staff of men and women.
Individual case management is provided, including an action plan tailored for the specific needs of our clients and families.
BICYCLE SAFETY PROGRAMS
Head injuries are preventable and it comes down to something as simple as wearing a bicycle helmet to protect your child from a life time of health issues. Every year EACF provides hundreds of bicycle helmets to children in support of their safety.
Medical Services are provided to those in need. These services include diagnostics such as:
- Electroencephalograms (EEGs)
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRIs)

INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES
Information and Referral Services are available to assist someone when the services and resources of EACF are not enough. Using the vast network of social service agencies and professional services in Central Florida, EACF gladly will assist in the referral process. We attempt to provide as much information as we can obtain to assist individuals with their needs.
Telephone Networks for sharing and supporting those that are affected by a seizure disorder themselves, or in the family, have been created throughout Central Florida.
Advocacy services are made available through EACF, when appropriate, to insure equal treatment, rights and access. Assistance is provided to individuals such as persons affected by epilepsy and employers.
